This one person hoop tent was designed for snow camping and to withstand relatively high winds and snow loading. The hoop gives the tent good strength and steep walls. Unfortunately the door mesh goes too low and the vents at each end let a lot of wind through, so it's not super duper warm. Still, I love this tent and use it a ton.
